A Trip into the Wilds

For lovers of nature, you should not miss an opportunity to take a trip down to the Wilds wildlife preserve located in the Muskingum County of Ohio. As a private, non-profit wildlife conservation, the Wilds is a 9,154 acres of reclaimed coal mine land housing more than 25 non-native and hundreds of native species.

The Wilds is more than your regular conservation reserve. As one of the largest and most innovative conservation centers in the world, Ohio bus charter visitors can board a Safari Transport or Open-Air Safari to learn more about rare and endangered animals that are roaming freely in this large, natural habitat.

Visitors to the Wilds are able to pick their own personal adventure called a P.A.C.E., or more known as a Personal Adventure in Conservation Education. Many different tour destinations are available such as the Lake Trail, the new Mid-Sized Carnivore Conservation Center where you can view cheetahs, African wild dogs, and dholes. Another interesting destination that should not be missed is the Sunset Safaris, or even the private Wildside Tours should you prefer something a little more tailored.

The Mid-Sized Carnivore Conservation Center is 60-acres large and houses many different carnivores. This center has features that visitors would find helpful such as walking trails, elevated broadwalks, and observation decks where you can appreciate the stunning views of various highly-sociable animals.

The Lake Trail is an enclosure sized at five-acre located within the animal area. There is a path built for walking towards the dock on Spillman Lake, which is the largest lake out of the more than 100 lakes in this area. For those of you who want to learn more about the conservation projects and scientific studies conducted by the Wilds Restoration Ecology group, you can head over for a series of showcases held at demonstration areas around Lake Trail.

In the midst of the largest section of the animal area, lies the Outpost. In it, you can enjoy panorama of the rolling grasslands, and at your leisure, observe rhinos, antelopes and many various wildlife in their natural habitat. This place would be ideal for photographers to catch animals in their element.

In this next unique habitat – the Wetland Trail – you can explore this disappearing ecosystem via a walking trail or observation decks. With the help of naturalists who lead many walks and activities, you can learn about plants and animals that are unique to swamps, wetlands and marshes.

Other than rhinos and cheetahs, you can also catch glimpses of songbirds, raptors and waterfowl at the Birding Station at Jeffrey Point. For a spot of camping, you should then head on down to Nomad Ridge at the Wilds that caters for adults interested in a luxurious special getaway.

International Women’s Air & Space Museum

When we think about aviation and space, almost immediately, we would picture a handsome looking guy all dressed up smartly in a pilot’s or an astronaut’s attire. Rarely would we think that women would be involved in anything related to air or space. Before you jump into conclusion that it is a guy thing, think again. And perhaps a trip to the International Women’s Air & Space Museum in an Ohio charter bus with your friends would be a wonderful eye opening experience for all.

Admission into the International Women’s Air & Space Museum is free because they are housed in a public building and it is located at the terminal of Burke Lakefront Airport. This will be quite an easy place for the Ohio charter bus driver to locate and you can be sure that you will get there in with plenty of time to spare if you and your friends are interested in being part of their tour. The museum offers free tours to the public every Saturday at 1pm, so if you would like to be part of the tour, be sure to inform the charter bus company when you call them to make a booking for one of their buses. The opening hours for the exhibits in the museum is from 8am until 7pm daily while the museum office, gift shop and Fay Gillis Wells Research Center are only open from Mondays through Saturdays, from 10am until 4pm. They are also closed on major holidays, except on Labor Day.

Through the various exhibits and displays at the International Women’s Air & Space Museum, the role of women in aviation and space is very much highlighted. Great achievements of women like Amelia Earhart and Sally Ride are some of the icons that you will learn about in this museum. They also have hands on activities for families every Saturday at their Joan L. Hrubec Aviation Education Center, so be sure to drop by and check them out before you leave the museum. The displays and exhibitions in the museum are never the same all year round as they change their displays often, so you can always return to visit and discover something different or something new that you most likely didn’t see the first time you were here with your friends. And when you are done touring the museum and still have time to visit the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, which is just one block away, feel free to do so by letting the charter bus driver know to send you and your friends there.

Going Around At Ohio’s Unique Merry-Go-Round Museum

Merry-go-rounds are fun and exciting. And we all love merry-go-rounds. The young, the old, and the not so old – merry-go-rounds are something that people of all ages would enjoy. And if you ever found out that there is a merry-go-round museum in town, we bet you would not hesitate to be one of the first to go check it out – and that is exactly what you’re going to do when we tell you that at 301 Jackson St., Sandusky, OH, there stands a Merry-Go-Round Museum. Yes, you read it correctly – a Merry-Go-Round Museum right here in Ohio; and now, how about chartering an Ohio bus to take you and your whole family to the museum for a time of exciting fun and recollecting the good old days of playing and riding on merry-go-rounds!

As you and your group of visitors arrive in the Ohio charter bus on the grounds of the Merry-Go-Round Museum, which is located right at the corner of the street, you will be thankful for arriving on a bus. That’s simply because if you have driven there yourself, you would have to look for a parking spot and walk a bit to the museum compared to when you arrive in a chartered bus and getting down from the bus right at the doorstep of the museum – and that’s one of the privileges that you get to enjoy when you charter a bus for any of your outings.

A good information for Ohio chartered bus visitors would be that the Merry-Go-Round Museum first opened its doors to the public on July 14, 1990 and since then, it’s been a place where many young visitors (and those who are young at heart too) would go and visit. The museum was originally a post office that was converted into what it is today. As you tour the museum, you will learn about how they restore and rebuild some of the worn out carousel animals, and they also have a carousel that is still in good working condition that you can get to ride on. As you go around the museum, they also have volunteers in there who will share with you and tell you stories behind the carousel animals – they truly are passionate about what they do and they are really friendly too. There are lot of pretty and beautiful carousel animals that are on display for you to take photos of them and with them.

Family Day Out to the West Side Market

Weekends are the best time for families to go out together and have fun. It is also a great time for families to bond, learn and play together. To make life a little easier on the adults, renting or chartering a bus for family outings is definitely a thumbs up idea. Not only will the adults be able to enjoy the comfort of being driven around and not having to pay attention to the road, the children will have fun riding in the Ohio charter bus with their parents too - something that they do not usually get to do.
One fun activity to do with the children on a Saturday is to take them down to the West Side Market in Cleveland, Ohio. It is considered to be the pride of Cleveland - being the oldest publicly owned market. It began as an open air marketplace on a piece of land donated by two Ohio city landowners, Josiah Barber and Richard Lord and has since gone through much development and change. The last major renovation works done was back in 2004, where the arcade portion of the market was enclosed and heated while major interior and architectural renovations were completed in the main building. Now, the market is home to over 100 vendors of vast ethnic diversity.
Chartering a bus down to the West Side Market will be a trip that you and family can truly enjoy because it is a food haven for food lovers. At this notable marketplace, not only will you find fine meats and fresh vegetables, they also have fresh seafood, baked goods, dairy and cheese products. The kids will get to enjoy sampling candies too!
At the West Side Market, they also have booths that sell ready-to-eat food, candies, nuts and herbs. In fact, tourists from around the world would visit the market just to experience what it feels like to be in a market with so many diverse vendors of different nationalities. It is also an interesting place to learn about the Cleveland history, other than getting some fresh produce and midwestern delicacies. Most children would enjoy the West Side Market because of its uniqueness and the almost unlimited choices of free samples that they can get from the vendors’ booths and stands.
Having spent the day with your family shopping and eating at the West Side Market, you will be glad to know that you don’t have drive home if you have already arranged to charter a bus for this trip.

The Toledo Museum of Art

Despite being such a small city, as compared to other larger sister cities in and around it, Toledo DOES have one of the most awesome museum of art there is. It is interesting and large enough to qualify as one of Ohio's most jaw-dropping museum of all times! Don't believe us, just head over to this amazing museum of art to see for yourself and if you have the time to organize a group charter bus trip, you should, especially if you are a fan of history, culture, entertainment, lifestyle and of course, art.
Suffice to say, many wished that the Manet exhibit was a permanent feature for the museum, because many people made their way in their large rented party bus, tour bus, charter bus or other group rental vehicles just to see the renowned Manet exhibit, all the other more permanent exhibits are well worth a check as well. The Manet exhibit has been and will always be a world class exhibit, something that you don't see all the time in a small town like Toledo.
Over the course of time, the museum's exterior has undergone some facelift because the building has been around since the museum came into operation in 1901. Suffice to say, the world class exhibit has earned the Toledo Museum of Art a name and reputation as one of the world's top quality museum with an extensive world class exhibits. To top it all off, they offer extensive programs to teach those who are interested in art.
The programs brings interested visitors all the way back to the history of glass art, American and European painting, Greek, Roman, Egyptian, Asian and African artistic styles too. It basically introduces you to a world where the imagination comes alive and this will become your chance to push your imagination and its boundaries a little further.
Make no mistake about it; the museum does introduce you to age-old art forms but they are very open to ideas and have much to teach about decorative, sculpture, graphic, modern and contemporary art too – a visit to this museum is a true eye-opener for anyone who is interested in art, let's just say.
The museum started off as a two-room facility with humble space for any kind of exhibit that they can get their hands on...and they have doubtlessly come a long way since then because with the rapid expansion of their facility, building and grounds, they now have thirty six acres worth of exhibition space! The museum has two floors of space with forty five galleries for visitors to explore and also concert hall that can seat up to a thousand seven hundred and fifty people at any one given time.
